Hayley’s story
Professional experience, guided by personal understanding.
Throughout my education career, I worked across different year groups, managed Key Stage 1, coordinated English and led behaviour within school settings. This gave me a deep understanding of children’s emotional, social and developmental needs.
My journey into coaching also became personal when my own family needed more mental health support. Like many families, we experienced long waiting lists and limited options. I wanted to offer meaningful, practical help, so I trained as a wellbeing and mental health coach.
Helping Little Minds grew from that experience.
My aim is to give children a safe place to be themselves, understand what they are feeling and build practical tools they can carry into everyday life.

Thoughtful, practical support
Hayley’s approach
Five simple principles guide how every session feels and how each coaching relationship develops.
- 01
Connection before correction
Children need to feel safe, seen and understood before meaningful change can begin.
- 02
Play before pressure
Playful activities make space for honest expression without a child feeling tested.
- 03
Movement supports regulation
Active sessions and brain breaks help children settle, focus and reconnect with themselves.
- 04
Every child is different
Support is shaped around each child’s personality, pace, strengths and needs.
- 05
Progress should feel empowering
Children build tools they understand and can choose to use in everyday life.
